I’m submitting my story, Venite Adoremus, to several literary magazine contests that end within the next several days. For the most part, I think my chances aren’t that great– I’m submitting essentially narrative memoir/story to literary fiction magazines, and the writing styles I see in many of them is thicker, more floral than my straightforward, mostly-unembellished narration– but who knows? Maybe, just maybe, it’ll pluck the right string somewhere.
But damn, the contest entry fees are brutal.
